The Defense Health Agency (DHA) awarded a five-year, nearly $40.3 million contract to Deloitte Consulting, and Mountain Pacific is partnering with Deloitte as a subcontractor to support the project’s success.
The TRICARE Quality Monitoring Contract (TQMC) aims to standardize the quality of health care services for the more than nine million beneficiaries of the DHA and the Military Health System (MHS). In partnership with Deloitte, Mountain Pacific will provide clinical quality monitoring support by reviewing and validating a variety of care services for the United States military and their families, including medical, surgical and mental health admissions to inpatient health facilities; medical necessity reconsideration and standard of care (SOC) reviews, which determine whether the care contributed to patient harm.
This contract will support nationwide efforts to implement proven clinical and business practices to create an environment that focuses on learning and continuous improvement for the MHS.

TRICARE is administered by the Department of Defense (DOD) and is the health care program for active and retired military members and their families. The DOD also runs the MHS, the dedicated health care system that provides care services for the U.S. military.
