After a rigorous review process, Mountain Pacific has again been awarded full URAC accreditation in health utilization management.
URAC accreditation is a “gold-standard” benchmark for health utilization management. Being awarded full accreditation is testament to Mountain Pacific’s commitment to managing health care services effectively and transparently. This accreditation ties to Mountain Pacific’s work in utilization review, prior authorization and health management services, especially for Medicaid providers and patients seeking medically necessary equipment, medications and other health care treatments and services.
“I am so proud of our utilization management team,” said Mountain Pacific CEO Jill Alessi. “URAC’s review covers the entire UM process from start to finish, as well as a demonstration of a commitment to continuous improvement and learning. Our team rises to this challenge every day, not only with the necessary knowledge and expertise to conduct assessments and prior authorization reviews, but also with compassion and a focus on patient-focused care. This accreditation validates their good work with the highest of standards.”
URAC’s health utilization management accreditation review evaluates an organization’s assessment processes, cost management practices, internal reporting and auditing and ability to uphold patient rights and provider fairness. Mountain Pacific was first accredited by URAC in December of 2013 and has consistently upheld URAC standards to meet accreditation requirements ever since.
“Those who most benefit from this accreditation are our partners and the health care providers and patients we work with,” said Jennifer Zody, Mountain Pacific’s division director of patient services and who took lead in Mountain Pacific’s URAC accreditation review process. “It’s our goal to improve health care outcomes with quality services and with integrity, and having this URAC stamp of approval means the people we serve can count on us to be efficient, cost-effective, consistent and fair.”
