Mountain Pacific has established a new philanthropic entity. The Foundation at Mountain Pacific is designed to expand the organization’s mission and strengthen its ability to meet evolving health care needs across its multi-state region.The Foundation at Mountain Pacific will aim to bridge funding gaps for health-related initiatives and to create new opportunities in collaboration with supporters, partners and other community stakeholders committed to advancing health care quality and improving health care access and equity.

“The Foundation at Mountain Pacific will allow us to move beyond the constraints of traditional funding and invest where the need is greatest and the opportunity for impact is strongest,” says Mountain Pacific CEO Jill Alessi. “This new philanthropic organization gives us the flexibility to support innovation, strengthen partnerships and respond more quickly as community health needs evolve.”

According to Alessi, existing funding sources for improving health care quality play an essential role in sustaining current programs, but they often carry restrictions such as grant limitations, reimbursement caps and program-specific requirements. The Foundation at Mountain Pacific will be a philanthropic arm dedicated to enabling broader, agile action in supporting health initiatives. Examples include:

• Outreach and services to underserved and hard-to-reach populations, such as those living in rural and frontier areas.
• Rapid response to public health crises.
• Growth of long-term sustainability through strategic philanthropy and partnerships.

The Foundation at Mountain Pacific has a newly formed board of directors and is looking to hire a director. The new organization's board has defined The Foundation's mission and vision. While its mission is unique, The Foundation shares Mountain Pacific's vision.

Vision: Be the catalyst that improves health care outcomes, creating healthier communities wherever we serve. 

On Tuesday, May 12, at its office in downtown Helena, Mountain Pacific commemorated its first donation from Opportunity Bank of Montana for The Foundation at Mountain Pacific with a check presentation ceremony.
